THE CURIOUS GARDEN

An interactive theatre installation for the 2–6-year-olds

Go explore the tiny landscapes where everyday heroes – ants, bees, butterflies and beetles – hustle and bustle. Here, even the smallest creature has its place.

For children aged 2-6 accompanied by an adult.

The experience is created for children aged 2-6 accompanied by an adult. The space is designed for you to move around freely and explore the many interactive stations. Live music by Christian Schrøder and small stories and actions by Pernille Bach help guide you through the experience.

We started, by planting a tree

Then, we planted wildflowers, bushes and ferns. Before long, the bees, butterflies, and small birds arrived...

The idea for the theatre installation started in Theatre Madam Bach's own garden back in Denmark. Here, we are cultivating an industrial site into a lush, fragrant garden with paths, secret caves, small soundscapes, trickling rainwater channels and buzzing insect hotels. The senses are awakened through sounds, stories, colours, scents, movement and images. When nature is felt and experienced as valuable, we take better care of it.

Butterflies, beetles, ants and bees. Plant wildflowers. Let the grass grow.

Even the smallest action can make a big difference!
